Event films that outlive the event.
EXO Visual Media films festivals, sports events, conferences and celebrations out of the Ahrntal, South Tyrol. Concept, shoot and edit stay with us. Over 200 films since 2015, drone in house.
What an event film is for
An event lasts a weekend. The film about it works for a year. It sells the next edition to sponsors, to speakers and to the people deciding in January whether to buy a ticket, and it does that while the memory of this edition is still warm.
It has two audiences. The people who were there should want to come back. The people who were not should feel they missed something. Showing everything does neither, so the cut runs on rhythm and on faces, and three days become one held breath.
What you get
A main film of two to four minutes. Short vertical clips that can go out on the day, while the event is still running. Sponsor cuts and interview pieces if the programme calls for them. All from the same shoot.
Stills from the event, if you want them, so the press release and the website use the same day in the same light.
How it runs
We plan the shoot before the doors open. Knowing which twenty minutes of three days matter is the whole job, and you cannot work that out on the day. Then one to three shooting days depending on the programme, with a crew of one to three, and several cameras when the stage or the course needs them.
Clips go out during the event. The main film follows within four to eight weeks; when the ticket sale for the next edition starts sooner, say so and it goes faster.
Where we have filmed
The International Mountain Summit and the Mental Health Festival in South Tyrol, the Südtiroler Erdäpfllauf, Psygathering at Tomorrowland in Belgium and Boom Festival in Portugal. South Tyrol first, then Italy, Austria, Germany and Switzerland, and further when the event is worth the trip.
